Pure water window cleaning and eco friendly building washing

Bland Bay Window Cleaning predominately uses pure water for cleaning exterior windows applied using Reach It carbon fibre telescopic poles and state of the art Reach It Radial brushes as this produces the best results faster and safer.

Squeegees in combination with high tech Glass Gleam 4 window cleaning solution are also employed where appropriate. This method is also used on interior glass.

Glass balustrades and skylights are generally cleaned using the water fed pole method although squeegees will be used if this is more efficient in a particular scenario.

If water supply is an issue we can bring pre filtered pure water to your site for window cleaning but we would need to access your water supply if we are washing your building.

The building washing process typically involves the low pressure application of Eco Cares bio degreaser and brushing and rinsing using high quality telescopic carbon fibre poles and soft bristle brushes

Decks, outdoor furniture, and fences are usually cleaned using Bio Power or oxygen bleach combined with a gentle rinse

In this situation the glass on top of the walkway is cleaned thoroughly and safely from the ground using a max reach gooseneck, soft bristled brush, and running pure water

How does pure water window cleaning work?

At Bland Bay Window Cleaning Ltd we use the 4 stage RHG filtration unit to produce 100% pure water that combined with the correct technique when using a telescopic carbon fibre pole and soft bristle brush results in a spot free finish on glass and can also be used to clean nearly every other surface

How do we know the water we produce is pure?

At Bland Bay Window Cleaning we use a tds meter to measure the quality of water we produce.

The conductivity meter pictured measures the total dissolved solids in the water and displays the result in parts per million.

The gold standard is 0 which the meter above is showing but in reality a tds of anything up to 10 - 15 in our experience results in a perfect spot free finish.

To put these figures into perspective filtered tank gathered rainwater will usually show a tds of 30 - 40 and will sometimes leave a spotty finish whereas bore water generally shows between 200 - 600 tds and will always leave a spotty finish

How often should we clean the windows or exterior surfaces on our business or residence?

There is no one size fits all answer to this question. Washing down of painted or metal surfaces should be scheduled regularly, painters often suggest annually to protect paintwork and following this advice can extend the life of the paintwork by many years. At Bland Bay Window Cleaning we offer a soft wash option using eco friendly products and equipment. As many properties in the Bay of Islands are situated adjacent to the sea, regular removal of salt spray is important and we can achieve this for you at a reasonable cost.

Regarding window cleaning if you are operating a retail or hospitality business appearance is paramount and we suggest scheduling your exterior window cleaning on a cycle of anywhere from weekly to three monthly. Interior window cleaning generally can be left for longer between cleans although high traffic businesses and houses with small children will generally require more attention. We are happy to assist in programming your building washing and window cleaning schedules.

Decking and stairs can be transformed with the use of bio power or oxygen bleach and a gentle rinse.Both these products are eco friendly and despite the name oxygen bleach contains no chlorine bleach. Both products are not harmful to plants or pets and oxygen bleach has an active life of only around five hours and then reverts to salts and water.

This old bench seat was transformed by using bio power and a gentle rinse. It is now ready for painting or can be left to slowly weather. Annual application of bio power or oxygen bleach will maintain the new smart appearance.

Builders Cleans

Bland Bay Window Cleaning Ltd offers builders initial cleans to both building companies and individual householders who may have undertaken a new build or renovations to an existing dwelling. We have experience working on large projects for example the Auckland University Business School and the new Auckland Hospital and individual new houses and renovations over the course of many years. The areas of expertise are the cleanup of glass and frames both exterior and interior and wash downs of exterior surfaces in a gentle and efficient manner.

If you are a householder intent on undertaking your own initial cleanup be very careful that any razorblade scrapers you use to remove paint splatters, silicon, etc are in excellent condition and the surface being worked on is kept moist. If you have any doubts about the condition of the blade in your scraper discard it immediately and replace with a brand new blade. Never ever use abrasive pads such as Steelos on glass or frames as this will almost certainly result in scratching. At Bland Bay Window Cleaning we will use assorted scrubs manufactured by Reach It. These scrubs are the result of extensive trial and research by the manufacturers and will not scratch true glass. The Reach It Window Weapon brush uses these pads and often this means that stubborn debris can be removed up to five storeys from the ground without having to use access equipment.
